HERE'S WHY YOUR RIDE NEEDS WASHING AFTER THE RAIN

Total Oil Indonesia

When the weather quickly alternates between shower and sunshine, vehicle owners may find themselves reluctant to wash their cars or motorcycles.

However, be advised that potential damage is lurking under this kind of weather. Water spots on the exterior and windows, for example, may cause mould and costs you money, since you may need to send the vehicle to an auto salon. This is not to mention special cleaning liquid that is required to get the mould off.

To avoid that additional, maybe even unnecessary, spending, maintenance should come first. After a rainy day, always wash and dry your vehicle using chamois cloth to clean it from acid materials in rainwater. For cars, also pay attention to the windows’ edges to prevent corrosion.

You also want to make sure you’re thorough. Check the underside of your vehicle – this area is vulnerable to dirt and sludge build-up that may affect the durability of the vehicle’s components. Suspension’s seals, for example, will not be working properly when coated by dirt and dust, and leakage may happen as the result.

So, from now on, there should not be a reason to delay washing your ride.
